Owls K campers must be entering kindergarten
in the fall of 2012 and toilet trained prior to the start of
camp. This program is
offered from 9am - 2pm
or 9am - 4pm. While
keeping many of the
traditional structures of the
popular Owl's Nest
Program, our
Kindergarteners experience
additional activities such as
archery, boats, soccer, tennis,
and beading. Recognizing that
choice of activities is an
important part of a child's
growth and development.
Kindergarteners have
one activity block
each day which
includes a choice
between 2 activities
(one active, one
passive).
Designed for our
younger campers, ages
3.5 - entering kindergarten,
The Owl's Nest offers a fun and exciting
introduction to Camp. Our goal is to create a safe and nurturing environment by placing children into "nests" (according to age) of
12-16 campers.
- Free play and expert instruction
- Ratio of counselors to campers in each nest is 1:4
- Develop social skills and make new friends
- Participate in non-competitive activities
Each day activities such as crafts, dance,
gymnastics, carpentry, nature,
outdoor games, and swim are combined
with quiet time for conversation, rest and
lunch.

The American Red Cross Swimming Instructors work with each child, based on their ability, to progress on their individual swimming skills. Campers are split into small groups to provide a teaching ratio of 1:5.
The Owls have their own special section of the Nobles Campus, complete with an in-ground pool and creative playground area. Each nest has a quiet indoor home base, although campers spend large portions of their days outdoors whenever possible.
