A TYPICAL DAY

What is a day in the life of a Nobles Day Camp camper like?  A day here is, really, anything but typical. That’s because campers have choices and variety all day every day.  While a typical day is filled with many options, we do have a structure in place.  Here, we take you through a typical day at camp from start to finish.

ARRIVAL

Campers start their day at their designated group space or nest at 9:00.  Campers meet in these areas every morning, in between activities, for lunch, and at the end of the day.  For details about arriving at camp by car or by bus, please see our Getting Here page.

MORNINGS

The mornings are filled with two activity blocks and an instructional swim block.  Campers entering 1st-9th grades choose from four scheduled activities just prior to each activity block.  Counselors encourage campers to try new activities; however, the final decision rests with the camper.  Activities include:  archery, arts and crafts, beading, black & white photography (4s-9s), board games, boats (canoes & kayaks), clay, dance, digital media (4s-9s), field sports, film (4s-9s), fishing, friendship bracelets, Fun with Food/Teen Cuisine, gimp, gymnastics, nature, pickleball, robotics, Rock Band (1s-4s), ropes course, STEM, sewing, tennis, theater, tie dye and woodworking.

Owls Nest campers enjoy one activity with their whole nest during each activity block.  Activities include: archery (kindergarten), arts and crafts, board games, boat rides (kindergarten), clay, gymnastics, nature, STEM, Sing Song Storytime, sports, tennis (kindergarten), Tool Time, and Wiggles and Giggles.

Also during the morning, campers enjoy a snack provided by Nobles Day Camp.

LUNCHTIME

Lunch is at noon.  Campers eat at their designated area with their group.

AFTERNOONS

Afternoon activities begin at 1:00.  For campers staying a full day, there are two activity blocks and a free swim block in the afternoon.  Campers entering 1st-9th grades choose from four scheduled activities just prior to each activity block.  Owls Nest campers enjoy one activity with their whole nest during each activity block.  During the free swim block, campers have the option of participating or not.  The entire group changes and goes to the pool area together, though.  During free swim, only campers who have passed a deep water swim test may go into the designated “deep area.”

Campers staying until 2:00 pm have one activity block in the afternoon.

DISMISSAL

Afternoon pickup begins at 2:00 pm or 4:00 pm, depending upon the program the camper is enrolled.  Campers end their day at their designated group space, gather their things, and go to either their car loading area, bus loading area, or PM care with their counselors.  For details about departing camp by car or by bus, please see our Getting Here page.
