6 Reasons to Love Nobles Day Camp
Nobles Day Camp establishes goals for camper development in a safe and nurturing environment. In all aspects of camp, our program incorporates the following 21st Century Skills:
Spend Time Outdoors and Learn to Appreciate Our Environment
50% of our activities are held outdoors: Outdoor Living Skills, Nature, Boating, Field Sports, Tennis, Ropes Course, Boating to name a few.
Develop and Practice Decision-Making Skills
Children makes choices based on a rotating selection of activities. All children should reach beyond the familiar activity and try new ones in order to grow and discover. Learning to make good decisions helps children become more independent and responsible.
Enhance Love of Learning through Hands-On Experiential Activities
Experiential education is a philosophy in which educators purposefully engage with learners in direct experience and focused reflection in order to increase knowledge, develop skills, clarify values, and develop people’s capacity to contribute to their communities. Throughout the experiential learning process, the learner is actively engaged in posing questions, investigating, experimenting, being curious, solving problems, assuming responsibility, being creative, and constructing meaning
Practice the principles of respect for self and others
Each camper will develop an awareness of the needs of others and will work cooperatively with other children and with his counselors.
Create Long Lasting Friendships with Other Campers and Staff
Nobles Day camp encourages children to make new friends and expand their circle of acquaintances.
From the vision of our founders, Mr. Wise and Mr. Bird, in 1948 to our current emphasis on 21 century skills, Nobles day Camp’s roots in tradition and passion for innovative fun make sure all our owls, big and small, soar.
