CAMPER EXPECTATIONS
Rights & Responsibilities
At Nobles Day Camp, we strive to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where all children can thrive. Camp is a place to try new things, build friendships, and grow as individuals and as members of a community. While camp is more relaxed than school, we still rely on clear expectations to ensure a fun and respectful experience for everyone.
We kindly ask families to review the following Camper Rights and Responsibilities with their children before the summer begins:
Principles of Conduct
At Nobles Day Camp, we believe that every camper has the right to feel safe, respected, and included. To help us achieve this, we ask all campers to:
- Treat others with kindness, respect, and courtesy
- Use appropriate language at all times
- Follow safety rules in all activities and spaces
- Resolve disagreements without fighting
- Play and interact in a constructive and cooperative way
- Respect the privacy and personal space of others
- Be open to making new friends and trying new things
Our Commitment
- Campers will be supported and encouraged by counselors every step of the way.
- Campers should feel comfortable bringing any concerns or questions to any staff member.
- We believe in building a community where mutual respect and understanding guide our actions.
Learning and Growing Together
- Campers will learn to be part of a group—understanding the needs, rights, and privileges of others.
- Each group follows a daily schedule of activities, meals, and rest times.
- While campers often come to camp with school friends, we encourage them to expand their circle and connect with new peers.
- Campers are encouraged to try new activities and step out of their comfort zone—it’s part of the magic of camp!
- Some activities have limited space. If a camper isn’t able to participate one day, they will usually have another opportunity soon.
By working together—campers, counselors, and families—we can ensure that everyone has a memorable and meaningful summer.
Thank you for partnering with us to make Nobles Day Camp a place where all children feel welcomed, challenged, and celebrated.
